Our Commitment to Reconciliation

At CBC Group, reconciliation is not simply a commitment on paper, it is something we aim to carry into every site, partnership, and community we work alongside.

As a national business working across urban, regional, and remote communities, we recognise the importance of listening, learning, and contributing meaningfully to reconciliation.

Our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, marks the beginning of a more deliberate and accountable approach to embedding reconciliation across our business. It provides a framework for strengthening relationships, increasing cultural understanding, and creating opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across our workforce, partnerships, and supply chain.

Reconciliation is a shared responsibility, and we are committed to ensuring it becomes a living part of how we operate every day.

Hear About Our Journey & Meet The Artist

CBC Group worked with  Dharawal artist Zachary Bennett-Brook (Saltwater Dreamtime) to create Gathering Currents for our Reflect RAP.

The artwork represents connection, Country, and CBC Group’s values of Unity, Integrity, and Excellence. At its centre is a gathering place symbolising CBC Group, with interconnected pathways representing our people, services, relationships, and communities across Australia.

Our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan

CBC Group’s Reflect RAP outlines the first steps in our reconciliation journey and establishes the foundations for long-term action and accountability.

The RAP is structured around the core pillars of:

Respect
Relationships
Opportunities
Governance
Across our business, we are continuing to:
  • Participate in National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week initiatives
  • Support cultural awareness and learning opportunities for employees
  • Strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders and communities
  • Explore opportunities to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and employment pathways
  • Promote respectful workplace practices and cultural understanding across our operations

As part of National Reconciliation Week 2026, our teams across the country came together to participate in a reconciliation webinar with Evolve Communities. The session encouraged reflection, learning and conversation as part of CBC Group’s ongoing reconciliation journey.

Inspired by the Dharawal coastline and Port Kembla, the artwork reflects the environments and communities where CBC Group operates and reinforces the importance of connection, respect, and shared responsibility.
